This huge Slate Quarry is situated in the Pen-y-pas valley. The atmosphere within the Quarry is intense and lonely and the Landscape within the quarry is bold and imposing. The aim was to capture the contrast between the harsh lines and purple colours of the Quarry workings and the flowing green colours of the mountains in the distance. the flooded lake known as Darlie's hole due to the surreal petrified trees that penetrate the blue water.
