Jerusalem: Building Cultures 2016

n February I travelled to The Holy city of Jerusalem to paint and document the day to day life of the historic city. I wanted to put myself out of my comfort zone, a different light and culture. I spent 11 days sketching and painting this incredible place and really enjoyed the friendly people and stunning architecture. There is a incurrent of unrest in this divided city which is apparent when wandering the streets and seeing a large Military and Police presence. I want to capture this social dynamic that is occurring for an unbiased viewpoint to accurately depict contemporary Jerusalem and the feelings I felt when there.
